Where does 9th Hour brew?
The 9th Hour brewhouse is located at Harbor Brewing Co. in Lake Villa, Illinois, which opened for business in January 2022. Since Harbor Brewing is our homebase, that’s the best place to find most of our brews on tap.
However, we also are available at more than a dozen other locations in northeastern Illinois. Check out our beer map to learn where to find our beer.
What makes 9th Hour beer stand out?
We like to think we offer a wider variety of beer compared to many other breweries, which tend to specialize in certain types of beer. In fact, when people ask, we tell them, “We make pretty much everything.” Maybe it’s the math and science teachers in us. We’re always experimenting!
What gives 9th Hour beer that great taste?
We pride ourselves in using local ingredients for our creations. We rely on merchants from Milwaukee to Chicago for the grain, yeast, and other fundamentals, blended to achieve that perfect flavor. Sometimes we even grow our own stuff! Our first brewhouse was located at Jim’s family farm, Richardson Farm in Spring Grove, Illinois. We use spruce tips from the farm for Nature Walk, our piney pale ale.
